Our Work > Marian Medical Center

In 2008, the Marian Medical Center Foundation in Santa Maria, CA, launched a $15 million capital campaign to build a new hospital. SE2 was hired to strategize and create campaign communications - an effort spanning four years and aimed at numerous audiences.

We called it the Cornerstone Campaign and centered it around the theme "A Stronger Hospital, A Stronger Community." We targeted donors and built awareness through a variety of tactics including a 20-page case statement, employee and physician brochures, campus-wide signage and a fundraising video.

Marian broke ground on the new hospital in October 2008 and has raised nearly 90 percent of its fundraising goal.

SE2 produced two brochures geared toward Marian staff. The brochures asked employees and physicians to invest in their own workplace thus building a hospital that offers "facilities equal to the care we give."
